'Urgent' Notice on Harding After-School Classes

The Harding Elementary School PTA says several of the after-school classes in the new session are under-enrolled and need more students. Classes are open to the public, not just Harding families.

Several after-school classes at Harding Elementary School are under-enrolled and need more students, the school PTA said an "Urgent" etree notice Saturday.

The after-school classes – called the Harding After School Enrichment Program (HASEP) – are organized and sponsored by the City of El Cerrito's Recreation Department in partnership with the PTA.

The new session begins Monday, Nov. 26, but there is still time to register, the PTA said. The five under-enrolled classes are guitar, two Lego robotics classes, flamenco and kindergarten dance. Two other classes still have openings, Shakespeare and kindergarten visual arts.

Here is the PTA notice:

UNDER-ENROLLED CLASSES - Still Time to Register

The next HASEP session starts next week and we have a couple of classes in danger of being canceled! Lego Robotics, Lego Robotics Jr., Guitar, Flamenco and K only Dance all need a few more students. It is not too late to enroll. Please visit the El Cerrito community center Monday or you can register online at:

There is also still some room in Shakespeare and K only Visual Arts. We hope that you will take advantage of these great classes and encourage your friends!

And if your child will need child watch, don't forget to hand in your child watch form.
