Relay For Life of El Cerrito

At El Cerrito’s Relay For Life walkers go around the clock in this unique 24-hour fundraising event against cancer.  Participants come together to celebrate the lives of those who have faced cancer, to remember loved ones lost, and to fight back against cancer by raising funds for the American Cancer Society.  The overnight relay at Cerrito Vista Park (950 Pomona Ave., El Cerrito) starts with cancer survivors walking the first lap at 10:00 o’clock Saturday morning.  After a day full of entertainment and a silent auction, the highlight of the event, the Luminaria Ceremony, is held at 8:30 in the evening. During this candle-lighting ceremony we honor cancer survivors and remember those we have lost in the battle against cancer.  The event ends at 10:00 Sunday morning with a closing ceremony and the participants pledging never to stop fighting against cancer.www.relayforlife.org/elcerritoca
