Mim Carlson
Mim Carlson is the Executive Director of Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter. She has over 30 years experience working in management positions in nonprofit organizations. Mim’s experience working at local animal shelters includes more than 10 years in management at the San Francisco SPCA, Berkeley Humane Society and now the Alameda Animal Shelter. Mim has written three books about leadership in nonprofits and raising funds for them.
When not working at the Alameda shelter, Mim spends time with her husband and super friendly Labrador retriever, taking long hikes and enjoying dog parks. She also lives with 5 cats, all rescues, who make sure the dog knows they rule the household.
