Montessori Family School

The El Cerrito Campus of the Montessori Family School enrolls 100 students in their Kindergarten, Elementary and Middle School Program, drawing students from Berkeley, El Cerrito, Richmond, Albany and other nearby communities. Founded in 1981, the Montessori Family School also operates a Berkeley Campus for 50 Preschool students. Affiliated with the American Montessori Society and the East Bay Independent Schools Association, the school "nurtures the individual learning style of each student while maintaining standards of academic excellence," according its Website.
