Chef's Chinese Food

This Chinese restaurant on the south side of El Cerrito Plaza features a quick-service takeout section and in-house dining at 14 tables. The takeout counter -- staffed by servers filling orders from pre-cooked dishes displayed on a steam table -- includes the more popular dishes such as barbecue spareribs, chicken chow mein, honey sesame chicken, broccoli beef and fish and shrimp with vegetables. The menu says no MSG is used.  Gift certificates and party trays are available, and plenty of free parking can be found in the plaza parking lot in front of the restaurant.
