Cerrito Theater

The Cerrito Theater (Rialto Cinemas Cerrito) is located in the central part of El Cerrito near the El Cerrito Plaza. The theater was built in 1937, but by 1962 it  had fallen into disrepair. The Friends of Cerrito Theater was formed to preserve the beautiful Art Deco building as a theater, and the renovation was completed ion 2006. The movie theater is currently managed by Rialto Cinemas. It shows current popular films as well as independent, foreign and classic films. It also has a full kitchen serving pizza, appetizers, sandwiches, salads, beer and wine.
