Bridges Rock Gym is a recent addition to the El Cerrito area. What makes this gym unique is that it is predominately a rock-climbing gym, with a custom climbing wall built specifically for this purpose. The gym offers daily yoga classes in a separate facility outside. Tai chi, pilates and qigong classes are also available now. The locker rooms have saunas for customers. The facilities are spacious and clean, with high ceilings. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the rock wall immediately ahead of you. To the left, stairs lead up to a small café and gym area. There are two elliptical machines and two treadmills here, along with a variety of hand weights and some kettlebells, flex bands, a pilates ball and a foam roller for clients to work out with.  A weekly running club, open to the public, meets on Monday nights and heads out on a 5-mile run. Bouldering and rock climbing classes are available at various times throughout the week.

The climbing here focuses on bouldering and slackline (there are no high walls here)... so you don't need prior climbing experience. Great place for a kid's birthday party, we had a wonderful time and the staff was great.
