Local Artists Host Public Reception for Berkeley Show Saturday

Expressions Gallery in Berkeley invites the public to a reception Saturday evening for its new show, "The Best Is Yet to Come," featuring local artists working in various mediums and photography.

Expressions Gallery near the Ashby BART Station will host a public reception Saturday night for its new exhibition by local artists working in various mediums and photographers, "The Best Is Yet to Come."

The reception will take place from 6-8 p.m. at the gallery, located at 2035 Ashby Ave. in Berkeley. The show runs three months, Oct. 18-Jan. 17.

The gallery offered this description of the exhibition:

"This show features artwork of artists who submitted their best work for display in this show. The show also crosses over all the holidays and takes you from Halloween through to the future into the New Year. For some, the theme is looking forward into the future. For others it is glorifying experiences or scenes in nature that they seek out to photo or paint. It also includes some messages about recycling for a greener world. Hope, beauty, nature, artistry, joy, all abound in the work in this show. It includes many different mediums: Paintings in acrylic, water color, and oil; photography, weavings, collage, glass works, digital arts, ceramics, floral art and more."
