VIDEO: Cerrito Creek's Rebirth at El Cerrito Plaza

This video slide show by Susan Schwartz of Friends of Five Creeks provides a quick record — in one minute and 49 seconds — of the 2003 reincarnation of Cerrito Creek next to El Cerrito Plaza and the growth of its native vegetation since then.

The all-volunteer organization has played the leading role in restoring and maintaining native vegetation to the reborn Cerrito Creek next to El Cerrito Plaza. The non-profit creek- and watershed-restoration group operates from Berkeley to Richmond. Major projects now in El Cerrito include the and both sides of Cerrito Creek from Adams Street downstream, according to group's leader, Susan Schwartz.
