Taste of the Olympics in Kensington

The Sugar Cone Cafe is getting into the Olympics spirit with a competition to design a dessert special representing a country competing in the Summer Games in London. Gold, Silver and Bronze medalists win gift certificates.

Competing in an Olympic event is normally a high-anxiety, calorie-burning, intensely focused exertion that pushes the boundary of human ability.

In Kensington, however, you can find a somewhat different approach.

The  – owned by Andrea Tung and Ken Brunetti of Kensington – is holding an Olympic-themed competition where entrants propose a dessert special reflecting one of the nations competing in the 2012 Summer Games now underway in London.
