Play Ball, El Cerrito!

It's baseball time again for the longstanding El Cerrito Youth Baseball league. Tryouts were held Saturday and Sunday. We'd like to thank Lisa Tsering for her photo of the Pinto division (ages 7-8) tryouts at Cerrito Vista Park.

The sounds of approaching spring in El Cerrito – the crack of bat hitting ball and ball slapping into glove at Cerrito Vista Park – were heard Saturday and Sunday when the El Cerrito Youth Baseball League held its annual team tryouts.

The longstanding, volunteer-run youth baseball program for ages 5-14 organizes players into five divisions by age. Practice begins in February, with the opening games set for the first weekend in March.

We'd like to think Lisa Tsering for sending us this photo of the Pinto division (ages 7-8) tryouts held at Cerrito Vista Park on Sunday.
