El Cerrito Trail Trekkers Work Party

Trail Trekkers is improving a long-obscured trail in the northern section of the Hillside Nature Area. This trail, still used by deer, children and very intrepid hikers, is rough going because invasive Scotch broom has taken over and the trail has bad footing.
We are pulling broom and improving the trail using mattocks and shovels. The work is fun and very rewarding. The result will be an improved trail that will make it easier for the public to enjoy this magnificent open space with views of the Bay.
