On Coastal Cleanup and National Public Lands Day, join Friends of Five Creeks volunteers on Cerrito Creek on the Albany-El Cerrito border. Learn about this little creek's fascinating history and ecology as you do light litter pickup or weeding, don boots to wade for heavier cleaning, or do heavy-duty invasives removal. Something for all -- all ages welcome!
Meet where the creek comes out of a pipe at the north end of Talbot Street. You'll move downstream, perhaps as far as Pierce Street.
Tools, gloves, and snacks provided. Wear closed-toed shoes with good traction and dress in layers, prepared for sun, fog, or wind. No registration needed -- just show up!
