Below is the flyer information from El Cerrito Youth Baseball about their annual season-kickoff parade along Ashbury Avenue and celebration at Cerrito Vista Park:
• 9:30am = All teams assemble at El Cerrito High School on the sidewalk & drop-off area in front of the school. Each child needs to be in full uniform but NO cleats.
• There will be coffee, donuts and hot chocolate for sale $1 each.
• 10am = Parade will begin with opening ceremonies; festivities, raffles and live music to follow at Cerrito Vista Park. Raffle prizes include gift certificates Mary & Joes, A’s tickets, CAL basketball tickets and ECYB spirit items.
• Each player, manager, and coach (2) will receive a free lunch ticket, which includes a hot dog/chips/soda. Others can buy a lunch ticket for $5 each.
• Free ice cream for everyone while supplies last. • Fans and families are encouraged to line up along Ashbury Ave to cheer on the kids.
