Aikido is a dynamic, powerful and graceful Japanese martial art developed in the 1920's by Morihei Ueshiba (O'Sensei). The objective of Aikido is to resolve conflict without fighting or intention to harm an opponent.
Class description: Class starts with stretching and warm-up exercises followed by rolling/falling practice. The teacher (Sensei) demonstrates techniques to be learned and students partner up to practice the techniques and apply them to a given variety of attacks. Advanced students work with newer students to ensure that correct form, etiquette, and safety are learned early on. Develop power, flexibility, stability and self-confidence in a friendly, relaxed environment. Nice large, open space with quality mats and wood floors.
