The best of both worlds!

My new Berkeley piano studio complements the one in El Cerrito where it all started.

Yesterday, a stone's throw from Fatapple's on Martin Luther King Jr. Way, I began my official teaching relationship to Berkeley. It was just weeks after touchdown in the Hopkins neighborhood, a storehouse of delights beckoning me at every corner. I walked myself into the ground with a smile of satisfaction each step of the way.

 El Cerrito was in the mix. It would not take second place to my recent Berkeley relocation. The Hills of Barrett would always remain alive with the sound of music as I continued my dual piano teaching expedition.

(I remember inserting a "Moonlight Sonata" You Tube performance into a posted blog about a nature walk I took along a pristine El Cerrito path with dedicated  trail trekkers.)

To bundle my happiness into one "take," I decided to bring my camcorder to the first launch of Berkeley piano lessons. It added to a growing collection of photos that traced my emancipation from the sweltering Central Valley:
