Letter: Treat ECHS to Old Tennis Balls, Printer Cartridges

The PTSA at El Cerrito High is asking for donations of used tennis balls, binders and empty inkjet and toner cartridges. Thousands of tennis balls are wanted to put on the legs of desks and chairs.

To the Editor:

Rather than going door-to-door, the El Cerrito High School PTSA is sending out this virtual trick-or-treating request to everyone in our extended community for Halloween.

Please treat us to your used/expired inkjet and toner cartridges. You will help us earn rewards credits at local office supply stores to purchase urgently needed supplies and equipment for our ECHS classrooms, library and career center.
We also need thousands of dead tennis balls to put on the legs of classroom desks and chairs so classes above, below, and all around are not disrupted with every student ergonomic adjustment or fidget. if you play tennis, give your used balls a chance to retire in a fun school community where they can continue to feel useful and learn interesting things.

Gently used binders (preferably 1") and recently published science magazines (Pop Sci, Scientific American, etc) are also always welcomed.

Please drop off at the school office Monday-Friday 8-4:
540 Ashbury Ave.
El Cerrito, CA 94530
