The El Cerrito High School bands are staging a 12-hour marathon music fundraiser tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 5, so they can purchase new instruments.
The "Play-a-Thon" event, which begins at 7 a.m. at the high school, is soliciting donations and includes opportunities for members of the community to participate in the sessions.
You can hear the various ensembles rehearse and perform and even join in some of the sessions. One session allows community members to conduct the Gauchos Marching Band.
