Gauchos Roll to Another Victory: 42-14 Over Alameda

The El Cerrito High School football team won a commanding victory over the Alameda Hornets, pushing its record this season to five wins, one loss and one tie.

The Gauchos dominated the high school football match in Alameda Friday night, downing the Hornets 42-14, according to the Contra Costa Times.

The victory follows El Cerrito High's rout of Richmond High last weekend, 58-6, and the 42-6 romp over Pinole Valley High two weeks ago. The Gauchos now have a season record of five wins, one loss and one tie oveall, and 3-0 record in the ACCAL standings.

In the game against Alameda, Gaucho Jalen Harvey caught six passes, including one for a score, and cornerback Marcellus Pippins intercepted three passes, including one for a 68-yard return in the Gauchos' 35-point second half, the Contra Costa Times reported.
