Gauchos Payback: 16-14 Football Victory over Campolindo

After losing an influential game 13-16 a year ago to Campolindo High, El Cerrito High's varsity football squad pushed its season record to 4-0 Friday night with table-turning 16-14 victory over the Campolindo Cougars.

El Cerrito High's varsity football team came from behind in the second half to win a hard-fought 16-14 victory over East Bay powerhouse Campolindo High Friday night in Moraga.

The Gauchos' win was propelled by two second-half touchdowns by running back Marshon Andoin, according to the Contra Costa Times.

The victory gave the Gauchos a 4-0 record so far this season. Going into the game, Campolindo had been 3-0 and ranked first by a wide margin in Division III of the North Coast Section, according to the MaxPreps.com scoreboard.
