The evening’s guest DJ is Kim Jones.

This one-of-a-kind event will benefit the ECHS Archiving Project’s scholarships and museum. Did you know that the high school’s museum is the only one dedicated to high school history in an operating high school in the U.S.? If you haven’t visited it, you should try to make a time. The museum displays artifacts from the beginning of the school history from the original blue prints to the first letter sweater to old "signed" locker doors. Lots of fun stuff that gives the high school a good look into the strong 67 years of Gaucho spirit.

The Project’s scholarships are given yearly to four deserving students who demonstrate Gaucho spirit in their academic as well as  their school activities and home and work life. Each year it gets more challenging for the scholarship committee to narrow its choices to only a few students as there are many who are deserving and could use the $1000 to buy books and pay for first year of college expenses.

At Saturday’s event, there will be food and beverages for sale. The beverage table will be manned by Larry Quirico ’54, former coach and athletic director. He is hoping that many of his former students and players will stop by for a visit. There will also be a table with many old school items on display including the Pep Jug!

A 50/50 raffle will be held with each ticket costing $5. The raffle pot is already big and getting bigger every day. It will be nice to get 50 percent of that pot!

Food will be hot dogs and pizza with lots of wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages.

Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at the door.

The ECHS Archiving Project members look forward to reconnecting with classmates from all years. Bring your dancing shoes. There will be a table setup for those of us who prefer to visit and watch others dance. Fun for all — if not, you will get your money back!
