East Bay Regional Parks - Author Talk

Author Laura McCreery will discuss her book "Living Landscape: the Extraordinary Rise of the East Bay Park Regional Park District and how it Preserved 100,000 Acres of Land."  Ms McCreery will talk about how the East Bay Park District acquires land, including the shoreline and Delta areas, the history of the East Bay Park and how people worked to create new parks and add acreage. This book comes with an introduction by Congressman George Miller, who states: The East Bay Regional Park District]. . .pulled off a stunning expansion of parklands in the densely populated East Bay. As this book explains, such growth will never again be possible."
