El Cerrito Turkeys Go to School

A special thanks to El Cerrito High senior Roschelle Hood for sending us this photo of El Cerrito's wild turkeys on campus Thursday morning. They may have hoped to remedy stereotypes about bird-brained species.

El Cerrito Patch welcomes contributions from students of El Cerrito High School, and we also welcome photos of the wild turkeys who have staked out the city as their personal fiefdom.

So we were particularly delighted when El Cerrito High senior Roschelle Hood sent us the accompanying photo of turkeys she took at the school Thursday morning.

I saw some trotting up the sidewalk on Richmond St. near Milvia. First time spotting them and it so surprised me! LOL

I wondered where they were. Haven't seen them in the hills lately.

Maybe the turkeys were looking for information about Casino Night on March 17th, at Mira Vista Country Club?

In that case, we should direct them here: http://patch.com/E-kP8p
