What's the Least Expensive Home for Sale in El Cerrito?

With home prices rising quickly, it might be difficult to find a real estate bargain these days. Here's one possibility in El Cerrito.

Most analysts agree the Bay Area real estate market is red hot right now.

Home prices have risen steadily this year and some experts see this trend continuing for two to three more years.

With that in mind, we'd thought we'd see if we could uncover a bargain or two out there.

In El Cerrito, the least expensive single-family home we could find was this two-bedroom, one-bathroom house at 6505 Blake St. It's listed at $273,000.

The house is a short sale. It was built in 1940. It's 844 square feet on a tenth of an acre.

Do you know of any other relatively inexpensive homes in El Cerrito? Tell us about them in the comments section.

You can check out other houses in nearby communities on Albany Patch and Pinole-Hercules Patch.

This seems on the wrong side of the line between sharing knowledge and tooting one's own business.

Our fearless reporter, David Mills, has his primary Patch site in South SF....but give the guy a break...he's got a wonderful wife, assorted wonderful children and grandchildren and (probably) wondrous access to either Realtor.com, Trulia or Zillow. Oh, never mind. The info was provided by Rachael Hand. Hand cut and pasted onto Mr. Mills byline, I'll wager...
