What's For Sale For The Median Housing Price In El Cerrito

Check out this three-bedroom home that's selling for less than $700,000

Home prices continue to surge in the Bay Area as they cool off a bit elsewhere.

The median price for a home in the nine-county Bay Area jumped to $585,000 in August, a 36 percent increase from the year before.

The price of a home can vary greatly from ZIP code to ZIP code, so we'd thought we'd take a look at houses on the market that are priced close to each community's median price.

In El Cerrito, there's this three-bedroom, two-bathroom at 1433 Everett St. that's listed at $625,000.

The home, built in 1930, is 2,091 square feet and sits on less than a tenth of an acre.
