Homes With Big Lots That Are For Sale In El Cerrito

Summer is here. That means people want to be outside.

For homeowners, that means barbeques, kids playing in the sprinklers and lawn mowers roaring as they cut the grass.

So, this week we thought we'd look at homes with plenty of room to roam.

For those looking to buy a house with a big yard, you might not have to pay that much more extra for it.

Aman Daro, director of marketing at Red Oak Realty, says in general the larger the lot the more a home will cost. However, the cost difference isn't all that great in most cases.

A better indicator of price, Daro says, is the home's square footage.

In El Cerrito, this four-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom house at 8414 Wildcat Drive sits on close to a half-acre.

The home, built in 1978, is 2,587 square feet. It's listed at just under $799,000.
