Homes That Have Been On The Market For Awhile In El Cerrito

There’s a lot of positive economic news in the Bay Area housing market these days.

The median home price has risen to $510,000, the first it’s been above a half-million dollars in five years.

Interest rates remain low and a large number of investors and home buyers are chasing after a relatively small number of homes for sale in what is still a tight inventory of available houses.

The result in many cases are homes that are sold within a few days with multiple offers above the asking price.

So, this week we thought it’d be interesting to take a look at homes that have been on the market for more than a month. Normally, that’s not that long, but in today’s market it can be considered a lengthy wait.

In El Cerrito, this three-bedroom, two-bathroom house at 2633 Carquinez Ave. has been for sale for 35 days. The 2,057-square-foot home, which was built in 1948, is listed at $625,000.
