The second presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16. The debate is at Hofstra Universityin New York.
In the first debate, the candidates focused on domestic issues, including the economy and taxes, health care reform and the role of government.
This second debate between the candidates is a town hall-style debate, including questions from the audience. It will focus on both domestic and international issues and will include questions from likely voters.
Feel like watching the debates in the company of other local residents or serious watchers of the political scene?
There will be a "Debate Watch" at the Albany Community Center, followed by commentary by UC linguistics Professor George Lakoff.
And the Institute of Governmental Studies at UC Berkeley is hosting a viewing party.

According to the CPD, "The second presidential debate will take the form of a town meeting, in which citizens will ask questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic issues. Candidates each will have two minutes to respond, and an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate a discussion. The town meeting participants will be undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization."
