The earthquake struck Wednesday morning near San Ramon.

A magnitude 3.4 earthquake hit the East Bay near San Ramon Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor struck at 9:30 a.m. about 1 mile east of San Ramon and 3 miles south of Danville, the USGS reported.
