Public Meeting for Stege Sanitary District Customers on the East Bay Regional Private Sewer Lateral Program

EBMUD and the Environmental Protections Agency (EPA) will inform residents of the Regional Private Sewer Lateral (PSL) Ordinance and assist with compliance.

The Regional Private Sewer Lateral (PSL) Ordinance is being phased in to solve the problem of leaky pipes and keep San Francisco Bay healthy.

The agencies are reaching out to inform affected property owners who will be required to obtain a certificate from EBMUD indicating that their private sewer laterals (PSLs) are without defects and have proper connections. The agencies will jointly explain the requirements and will be available to answer questions.
