Free Community Pharmaceutical Drop-Off

Help to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding your home of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. 

The event is is free and anonymous and no questions will be asked.

 keep medicine / pharmaceuticals in the original container and leave the drug name intact.  Black out personal information, including names, prescription numbers and doctor’s name.

What will be accepted:

- Community members can safely dispose of expired cough syrups, vitamins, unused medications, empty inhalers, etc at both locations.  

- Sharps (used needles, syringes and lancets) will only be accepted at Kensington Fire Station #65 and only if they are in an approved sharps disposal container.

- Controlled substances (narcotics and those with potential for addiction/abuse) will not be accepted at either drop-off location. For a list of controlled substances not accepted during this drop-off event, check the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration website.
