"Tip-a-Cop" Fundraiser by El Cerrito Police Thursday

El Cerrito police officers will serve as waiters and bus-persons Thursday night at Macaroni Grill, donating their tips for the Special Olympics.

El Cerrito police officers will serve the community in a different way Thursday when they take on roles as waiters and table-clearers at the in El Cerrito Plaza.

The police will donate their tips to the Special Olympics, Police Chief Sylvia Moir told the City Council Monday night. The El Cerrito police department also participates in other fundraising activities for the Special Olympics, including a and a .

The "Tip-a-Cop" benefit will feature police serving tables from 5-9 p.m. at Macaroni Grill Thursday, Moir said.
