Suspect, Victims Flee After El Cerrito Shooting

El Cerrito Police are investing a shooting Saturday afternoon on San Pablo Avenue.


El Cerrito Police received a report of a shooting Saturday afternoon, but both the gunman and victims fled the scene.

The suspect, a black adult male, driving a newer, gray, four-door vehicle reportedly fired a gun at a green four-door vehicle near the 11700 block of San Pablo Avenue. The suspect fled in the vehicle and was last seen on Interstate 80.

The victims in the green car stopped briefly to check with paramedics in an ambulance who happened to be in the area. The victims left, however, before receiving medical treatment or contacting the police. Police arrived on the scene just before 2 p.m.
