Suspect in Oakland Attempted Murder Case Arrested During Disturbance Call in Richmond

Police responding to a report of a disturbance in Richmond on Friday arrested a man suspected in an attempted homicide in Oakland last month, police said today.

Officers responding to the reported disturbance at a Richmond home found 24-year-old Michael Louis and learned that he was wanted for a June 15 robbery and attempted murder in Oakland, according to police.

He was arrested and later transferred to Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, where he is being held on $300,000 bail.

Louis was scheduled to appear in Alameda County Superior Court in Oakland Monday afternoon for arraignment.
