The El Cerrito Police Department is offering El Cerrito residents who are leaving town for the holidays to register for a vacation home check. 

Here's the advisory from El Cerrito PD: 

Going out of town for the Holidays? Register for a vacation home check with the Police Department @ www.el-cerrito.org/police. Want to make your home safer while you are out of town? Take the Home Security Challenge.
