Surveillance images from the Wingstop restaurant in the strip mall at 4300 MacDonald Ave. show two young men suspected of involvement in the shooting, which was first reported in the shopping center's parking lot at 5:43 p.m. Tuesday, according to Richmond police Sgt. Nicole Abetkov.

A 17-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man, both from Richmond, were injured in the shooting and taken to area hospitals. The teen was initially listed in critical condition at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek but has since been stabilized and is improving, Abetkov said.

The 23-year-old victim was treated for his injuries and released from Doctors Medical Center in San Pablo. Multiple witnesses reported the shooting and several officers in the area, including Richmond police Chief Chris Magnus, arrived on the scene soon afterward.

However, both the suspects and victims were gone by the time they arrived, police said. Abetkov said detectives are trying to determine whether the suspects and victims had a dispute leading up to the shooting. Police haven't been able to identify the two young men captured by the surveillance cameras and are asking for anyone who knows them to come forward.

Police said the shooting suspects' vehicle is described as a silver or gray Infiniti FX SUV. Anyone with information is urged to call Richmond police Detective Florencio Rivera at (510) 621-1755 or the Police Department's non-emergency number at (510) 232-1214.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call (510) 232-TIPS.
