Police Make Arrests For Burglary And Armed Robbery

El Cerrito Police log, Jan. 24 – Feb. 17

MONDAY, JAN. 24

Armed Robbery – An armed robbery occurred at Allied Cash Advance at 1:43 p.m. on the 10700 block of San Pablo Avenue. Police later arrested three Richmond residents in connection with the crime. A 21-year-old man was arrested the day after the robbery, and on Feb. 17, a 28-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were arrested.

Assault – A 24-year-old Vallejo man was arrested on suspicion of assault on the 300 block of Behrens Street. Police arrested the man after responding to a report of a disturbance there at around 5:25 p.m.

Marijuana For Sale – At around 10:15 a.m., police arrested a 17-year-old El Cerrito boy on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale during a suspicious-person investigation.

FRIDAY, JAN. 28

Concealed Gun – At around 2:25 p.m., police arrested a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, both from Richmond, on suspicion of carrying a loaded and concealed handgun during a pedestrian stop.

Illegal Weapon – At around 2:35 p.m., a 15-year-old Richmond boy was arrested on suspicion of possessing an illegal weapon during a pedestrian stop.

SUNDAY, JAN. 30

Methamphetamine – At around 2:58 p.m., police arrested a 42-year-old Richmond man on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine during a suspicious-person investigation.

Shoplifting – A 53-year-old Berkeley woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Lucky Supermarket at El Cerrito Plaza. Police responded to a report of the theft at around 5:45 p.m.

MONDAY, JAN. 31

Cocaine – At around 1:55 p.m., police arrested a 17-year-old Kensington boy on suspicion of possessing cocaine during a pedestrian stop.

FRIDAY, FEB. 4

Burglary – At around 11:16 a.m., police arrested three people on suspicion of possessing property which had just been taken during a residential burglary in El Cerrito. Police arrested a 29-year-old Pleasant Hill woman, a 38-year-old Brentwood man and a 34-year-old Brentwood woman.

SUNDAY, FEB. 6

Stolen Vehicle – Police arrested a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, both from Oakland, on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle.  

MONDAY, FEB. 7

Controlled Substance – At around 7:58 a.m., police arrested a 36-year-old Oakland man on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and stolen property during a traffic stop.

Shoplifting – Police arrested a 30-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, both from Richmond, on suspicion of shoplifting at CVS on San Pablo Avenue. Police responded to a report of the shoplifting at around 11:05 a.m.

TUESDAY, FEB. 8

Burglary – Police arrested two 13-year-old Richmond boys and a 14-year-old El Cerrito boy on suspicion of committing a burglary at Portola Junior High School. Police responded to a report of the crime at around 9:05 a.m.

Controlled Substance – At around 10:05 p.m., police arrested a 16-year-old Concord boy on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance during a pedestrian stop.

Stolen Vehicle – At around 11:40 p.m., police arrested a 27-year-old Richmond woman on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and a controlled substance. The woman had attempted to evade police officers prior to her arrest.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 9

Stolen Vehicle – A 23-year-old Vallejo woman and a 41-year-old Benicia man were arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle at around 9:50 a.m. The woman was also suspected of possessing a controlled substance.

SUNDAY, FEB. 13

Vehicle Burglary – A 52-year-old Richmond man was arrested on suspicion of burglarizing a vehicle on the 11800 block of San Pablo Avenue. Police made the arrest and recovered stolen property after responding to a vehicle alarm at around 4:05 a.m.

Shoplifting – A 50-year-old Richmond man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Walgreens on San Pablo Avenue. Police responded to a report of the theft at around 10:06 a.m.

MONDAY, FEB. 14

Illegal Weapon – At around 7:45 a.m., police arrested a 42-year-old Richmond man on suspicion of possessing forged identification documents and an illegal weapon during a pedestrian stop.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 16

Stolen Property – A 19-year-old Martinez woman was arrested at around 12:30 a.m. after she was found in possession of stolen property during a traffic stop.

Stolen Vehicle – A 46-year-old Novato woman was arrested at around 4:40 a.m. on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and identifying herself as another person during a traffic stop.

THURSDAY, FEB. 17

Controlled Substance – At around 3:10 a.m., police arrested a 27-year-old Oakland man on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance during a pedestrian stop.
