Police Ask Public's Help to ID Car Burglars

Do you know this man, captured on a surveillance camera?

The El Cerrito Police Department has released surveillance photos of suspects and a vehicle related a Feb. 26 auto burglary. Anyone who can identify the suspects or vehicle is asked to contact the department at (510) 237-3233.

According to the police bulletin:

"On February 26, 2013, at 4:30 pm, three men worked together to break the window on the victim's car and steal the victim's property.

"One man acted as the lookout, a second drove the suspect vehicle, and the third broke the window and stole a backpack.

"A surveillance camera recorded the crime. Please look at the attached photographs. The vehicle appears to be a black, older Lexus, possibly a GS series.

"Please call the El Cerrito Police if you know these men or if you see them or this vehicle."

This should also be put on the Richmond and San Pablo patch, if there is one.

A lot of car thieves work out of town...El Sobrante, Berkeley, Albany and Oakland patches as well...I really dislike thieves and this kind of snatch and grab is a huge drain on society.
