According to earlier statements from police, the first two cases were and occurred 10 minutes apart. Two other cases happened in November.

  • On Sept. 27, a 61-year-old woman was walking near Brighton Avenue when a man approached her and asked her for the time. As she looked down at her watch, he reached out and grabbed her breast. The woman immediately began screaming, fearing the man was going to pull her into the nearby bushes. The man was scared off and ran away, police said.
  • Ten minutes later, a 74-year-old woman was walking along the BART path near Solano Avenue when a man asked her for the time. As she passed by, the man grabbed her from behind in a "bear hug" fashion while grabbing both of her breasts.
  • On Nov. 3, a 49-year-old woman was walking her dog on Portland Avenue near Talbot Avenue when a man called out and asked her for the time. After she told him the time, he stepped in front of her, reached out and touched her breast.
  • On Nov. 13, a 14-year-old girl was walking on the BART path between Solano and Portland avenues when a man walked up from behind, stopped in front of her, and reached out and touched her breast.

Glover is being held in Alameda County's Glenn E. Dyer Detention Facility in Oakland on a charge of sexual battery, according to the county's Inmate Locator website.

His pre-trial hearing was scheduled for this morning about 9 a.m., and a motion to amend the complaint against him was scheduled to be heard at 2 p.m.

According to Maiden, additional charges may be pending against Glover.

"There does not appear to be any connection between Glover and
the person who was attempting to ," he said. "With that in mind, the police would like to remind everyone to be cognizant of their surroundings at all times, and please continue to report suspicious persons and events to the police department, especially when they involve the youth of our community."
