Kensington Police Blotter: Residential Burglary Suspects Arrested

The following items are selected and written by the Kensington Police Department. 

June 20
Residential Burglary, Norwood Avenue: On Wednesday, June 20 at approximately 11:00 a.m., there was an attempted residential burglary on the unit block of Norwood Avenue. Sergeant Barrow and Officer Ramos were able to find one of the suspects with information provided by a witness. In the suspect's vehicle was property that was stolen from a Berkeley residence at noon.

Arrest of Suspects from Residential Burglary: On Thursday, June 27, the suspect mentioned above was arrested by Sergeant Barrow and Officer Ramos and correctly identified two other suspects involved in the burglaries. Sergeant Barrow continues to work on the investigation with Berkeley detectives to file criminal charges. 

June 28

Shooting, Plaza BART Station: On Friday, June 28 at approximately 11:30 a.m., an African American male was shot at the Plaza BART station, after an argument with four other African American males. Two shots were heard and one struck the victim in the chest, who was airlifted to John Muir Hospital.
