El Cerrito Police Seeking Man Who Allegedly Groped a Woman

The incident occurred on Friday night.

Police are attempting to locate a man who groped a woman walking in El Cerrito last week.
 
The woman was walking near the intersection of Potrero Avenue and South 53rd Street near the Richmond border around 8:15 a.m. Friday when a man grabbed her buttocks and tried to touch her crotch, according to police.
 
Police said the woman ran away and the suspect was last seen fleeing south on South 53rd Street. The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his 20s without facial hair who is roughly 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds, according to police.
 
He was wearing a green, v-neck T-shirt and baggy dark blue jeans that appeared to be construction-type clothing, police said.
