Blotter: K9 Officer Koda Assisted in a Meth Bust

The El Cerrito Police Blotter for Aug. 24-26 includes an arrest for shoplifting at the CVS and two warrant arrests.

AUGUST 24, 2012 

Warrant arrest – San Pablo Ave at Stockton Ave 
Officer Jacala arrested a 36-year-old Richmond man, at 0218 hours, for a DUI warrant during a traffic stop. 

AUGUST 25, 2012 

Stolen vehicle – 1200 block of Elm Street 
A 1993 Honda Prelude was stolen from the street sometime between 9:26 a.m. and 9:35 a.m. 

Recovered stolen vehicle – 1400 block of Richmond Street 
Corporal Wahrlich recovered the a stolen vehicle at approximately 11:06 a.m. 

Stolen vehicle – 800 block of Balra Drive 
A 1997 Honda Civic was stolen from the street sometime between 12:50 a.m. and 2 p.m. 

Trespassing/drug possession – 1000 block of Navellier Street 
Corporal Wahrlich arrested a 50-year-old Oakland man and a 29-year-old El Sobrante woman at 2:34 p.m. after he found them trespassing and in possession of methamphetamine. 

AUGUST 26, 2012 

Warrant arrest – Eastshore Blvd at Potrero Ave 
Officer Li arrested a 35-year-old Oakland man, at 9:41 a.m. for a warrant during a suspicious vehicle check. 

Commercial burglary – (CVS) 670 El Cerrito Plaza 
Officer Li arrested a 37-year-old Richmond woman, at 2 p.m., for shoplifting items from the business. 

Warrant arrest - 9800 block of San Pablo Ave 
Officer Evans arrested a 26-year-old transient man, at 6:55 p.m., for a warrant and parole violation during a pedestrian contact. 

Transportation and possession of methamphetamine for sales – Arlington Blvd at Elm Ave 
Officer Schillinger, assisted by K9 Officer Koda, arrested a 29-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman from Concord, at 12:08 a.m., after he found them transporting methamphetamine for sales during a traffic stop.
