UPDATE: All BART Stations Reopen After Refinery Fire Controlled

Service was halted temporarily at three stations after the Chevron Refinery fire was reported.

Service at BART's Richmond, El Cerrito Del Norte and El Cerrito Plaza stations was shut down Monday evening in response to a and shelter-in-place warning.

The two El Cerrito stations reopened around 9:45 p.m. The Richmond station reopened around 11:30 p.m.

The shutdown followed the 6:40 p.m. report of a fire at the Chevron refinery in Richmond. There was no bus bridge during the shutdown of the stations, according to BART police.
