A 25-year-old man was injured in a shooting in Richmond on Monday evening, a police lieutenant said.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of Bissell Avenue around 6 p.m., Lt. Darren Monahan said.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to a hospital where he had gone into surgery, according to Monahan.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, he said.
