"It's That Time Again" East Bay Pro Arts Open Studios

It’s that time again for Pro Arts East Bay Open Studios. I was surprised to find however only three artists in El Cerrito taking advantage of the event. I credit Pro Arts East Bay Open Studios with helping me establish my career as an artist. Many of the clients I have today, I met through Open Studios over fifteen years ago. They always reconnect with me either during this time of year, at my old Fingado Art Gallery on Stockton Avenue or local exhibitions. The next two weekends from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Saturday, June, 1 and Sunday, June 2 and Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9, over four hundred artists from Alameda to Walnut Creek will open their doors and invite the public in to view their studios or visit venues where an array of art and artists will display their work. Many make a living selling their work and this time is as crucial to sales as the holidays. This year I will be joining Kate Peterson at Adorn and Flourish, 2097 Stockton Avenue in El Cerrito to exhibit my mixed media art (specifically paper mandalas), offer other artist’s prints and my new book, “Chakras and Mandalas.” I hope to visit with my clients, friends and those artists I have not seen for awhile. I sincerely hope you stop by to look at my art, talk to me about art, (even your own) and maybe get some new information about open studios, exhibiting, and pointers on breaking into the field of art or anything else.
