El Cerrito High School presents Theater Verbatim Gala Friday March 28th at 7:30 pm

El Cerrito High School continues  with this year’s drama student performances with a Theater Verbatim Gala March 28th at 7:30 pm.  Students in Intermediate and Advanced theatre collected interviews to create monologues and scenes from the words of their classmates, parents, and community members and have assembled them into one dynamic show.

Be prepared to share some stories of your own at our True Stories Table in the lobby before the show!  Want to be prepared?  Some of the questions students used for their interviews were “When and why did you move to the Bay Area?  Biggest lesson you learned in high school? Biggest lesson you've learned so far in your life? Most embarrassing moment? “.  The scenes and monologues are directed by the students, and produced by Theater Director Carmen Bush.

The production has been supported by the high school; additional resources have been provided for the classes of all three levels of theater students through community donations to Supporters of the Theater Arts  , part of SAF, the 501c3 non- profit serving the students of El Cerrito High.  Contra Costa Civic Theatre continues to be a resource to the school and students.  Tax deductible donations can be mailed to STA, 3060 El Cerrito Plaza, #507, El Cerrito CA 94530
