El Cerrito Garden Club Presents Cash Gift to Contra Costa College's Three Seasons Restaurant

In appreciation for the efforts of Contra Costa College's Culinary School and its wonderful restaurant Three Seasons, Barbara Post, Leader of Herb Study Group of the El Cerrito Garden Club (ECGC), met with Chef Nader Sharkes, Director of Culinary Arts Program at Contra Costa College in San Pablo, on November 11 to present a check for Five Hundred Dollars to be applied to the further development and maintenance of its herb garden. The restaurant features outstanding lunch menus which have been prepared by the students working under Chef Nader's direction, and it is open to the general public. It has been chosen as the site for many of the Herb Study Group's special lunch meetings. The El Cerrito Garden Club selects projects that stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening among amateurs and encourages civic planting. The herb garden at Contra Costa College is a perfect example of the kind of projects we want to encourage and reward.
