Long-Time El Cerrito Chamber Manager, Sewall Glinternick, Dies at 85

Former El Cerrito Chamber of Commerce Manager John Stashik has called Glinternick "one of the best known and most recognized faces in our city."

Former El Cerrito Chamber of Commerce manager and veteran journalist, Sewall Glinternick died Saturday at age 85, reports the San Jose Mercury News.

Glinternick served in World War II. He attended the University of Minnesota, where he worked as editor-in-chief of the Minnesota Daily. He went on to have a long career as a reporter, writing for newspapers around the Bay Area.
