Some of the people with ties to El Cerrito and Albany who passed away recently
Maryellen McCormick, a resident of El Cerrito, was city clerk in El Cerrito city clerk for 30 years, beginning in 1942. She also served as Hercules city clerk for five years in the 1970s. McCormick passed away on July 12 at the age of 97.
Judith Frakes, a former Bay Area resident, worked in law enforcement as a dispatcher for Albany, Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill police departments. She passed away in Utah on July 28 at the age of 70.
