Friends and family of Lora Quon are mourning the El Cerrito woman who died this month at the age of 87.
Born in Lemoore in the Central Valley and a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Lora obtained a teacher’s credential from San Francisco State University and taught briefly in San Francisco, according to Legacy.com.
An avid reader, gardener, devoted spouse, mother and friend, Lora is survived by four children and four grandchildren.

Friends are asked to contact her family for details about a celebration honoring Lora’s life scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 17. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the El Cerrito Public Library, The March of Dimes , or a charity of your choosing.
